Universal Laws of Attraction

Do you think that the power of your mind can bring you exactly what you want in life? Believe it or not some people actually do follow this philosophy. They believe that there is abundance in the universe and that by maintaining positive thoughts and energies, they can have what they need. This idea is what is behind the Law of Attraction. There are skeptics out there and far more people that have no idea what this involves. To them it is a matter of not quite understanding that the mind can make things happen. In this article we will cover many of the basic questions that you may have. Hopefully you can have good things come your way and keep out the negative.

What are the universal laws of attraction?

The law of attraction is actually a phrase that was coined by some writers. The fundamental belief is that if you have a positive outlook and will good things to come to you…they will. And by the same token that if you concentrate on negative things you will receive those negative things. It is basically the idea that you get what you ask for with the power of your mind. Even the things you are not actively thinking about affect what you get. So you have to train your conscious mind and the subconscious to think of positive things. And like a magnet those things will come to you.

What is "The Secret"?

In 2006 Rhonda Byrne, an Australian television writer and producer, debuted the movie "The Secret." The movie, and the subsequent book, really introduced the law of attraction to millions of people. And of course the movie and book lead Byrne to making several television appearances defending her stance on this belief practice. Most of the television and radio show hosts that interviewed Byrne sought to understand how this belief system can even be possible. One of the chief arguments against it came from Larry King. He questioned how it could be that the universe provides for people who have positive beliefs when so many people in third world countries are starving and dying. His argument is just one of the many that people raise. It seemed to bring to light that this technique only works for individuals who have a choice in their path. That for those stuck in abject poverty or sickness really have no hope with this belief system.

How do I get started?

If you want to start studying and practicing the philosophy behind the universal laws of attraction you have to start by researching all of the material that is available. Watching the movie "The Secret" and reading any books can get you started. The actual practice hinges on three main criteria is: Ask, Believe and Receive. You first start by asking the universe for what you want and need. Next you have to truly believe that you will receive what you have asked for and act accordingly. There can be no doubt in your mind that you will not receive it. The final step is receiving what you asked for. You have to be open to receiving it. Though it does sound very easy it is remarkably hard for people to put aside any negative thoughts or pessimism. Most people do doubt good fortune and with this you cannot doubt in the least.
